I remember reading this quote by Leonardo DiCaprio and agreeing 100% with it. I'm incredibly lucky that I've been able to travel and see so much this year. It has opened my eyes to the world and made me realize how much there is still left to see. Traveling just makes you want to travel more and see everything beautiful and amazing in the world.
After High School, I made a bucket list of all the places I wanted to visit. I've seen so many this year but there is still so much I want to see, and my list is still growing.
One of the places I've always wanted to visit was the Leaning Tower of Pisa, for no other reason than to take pictures so it looks like you're either holding up the Tower or knocking it down.
After Florence, everyone split off into separate groups. We still had 5 days left of our Easter break so most of us didn't return to Brussels with Dr. Hughes and Sue but instead traveled more. Some people went to Turkey, others to Barcelona, but myself and 5 other people stayed in Italy. We made a quick trip to Pisa and then traveled to Sorrento and spent the rest of our break around there.
Pisa was less than an hour away from Florence by train so we headed up there for a couple hours to see the Leaning Tower. Like most things, it was different than expected. It was not as tall as I thought it would be, but leaned more drastically than I thought it would. It was very cool to see it in person and to be one of the hundreds of tourists making those silly pictures. We had a lot of fun for a couple hours, took a million pictures, and later that night we hopped on a 7 hour train ride to Sorrento.
Seeing the Leaning Tower of Pisa was fun and touristy and it was great to check another thing off of my bucket list.
